Privacy Policy
1. Overview
Tac Ops Pro (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a tactical operation planning platform for law enforcement and tactical teams, along with this website at tacopspro.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you. It covers both the website and, once released, the Tac Ops Pro mobile application (the “Platform”).
2. Information We Collect
Website
- Contact and waitlist submissions. When you submit our contact form, we receive the name, email address, agency or unit, and message you provide. Form submissions are processed by Formspree on our behalf.
- No advertising trackers. This website does not use advertising cookies or sell visitor data.
Platform (upon release)
- Account information. Basic identifiers such as your email address, used for sign-in, group invitations, and account discovery.
- Operational content you create. Operation plans, forms, annotated images, sketches, messages, and related records are created and controlled by you and your group. This content may include sensitive information; access to it is governed by group- and operation-level permissions set by your administrators.
- Device and notification data. Push notification tokens and basic device information needed to deliver alerts you have enabled.
- Activity logs. System-level activity records used for security, monitoring, and compliance.
3. How We Use Information
- To operate the Platform: syncing operations, delivering messages and notifications, and generating exports you request.
- To respond to inquiries, demo requests, and pilot program applications.
- To secure the service, investigate abuse, and meet legal and compliance obligations.
- To improve the Platform based on aggregate usage patterns.
We do not sell personal information.
4. Storage and Security
Platform data is stored and processed on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Access to operational content is controlled at the group and operation level: administrators explicitly approve, deny, and revoke access, and revocation takes effect immediately. Authorized system administrators may access activity logs and operational data for system monitoring, security, and compliance purposes, and may export such records for reporting and record-keeping requirements.
5. Sharing
We share information only with:
- Service providers that support the Platform (for example, AWS for hosting, Formspree for form processing, and Google Maps services for in-app mapping), bound to use it only to provide those services.
- Your group and teams you authorize. Operational content is visible according to the permissions your administrators configure, including operations deliberately shared with other teams.
- Legal authorities when required by law, subpoena, or court order.
6. Retention and Deletion
Operational records are retained so that departments maintain a continuous, reviewable record across the operation lifecycle, including archived operations. You may request complete deletion of your personal account and associated data. Upon a valid deletion request, user data — including operational records, communications, and profile information — will be permanently removed from the system.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.
8. Children
Tac Ops Pro is a professional tool intended for use by law enforcement and public safety personnel. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 years of age.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the Platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
