1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing tacopspro.com (the “Site”) or using the Tac Ops Pro mobile application once released (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you are using the Service on behalf of an agency or department, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms on its behalf.
2. The Service
Tac Ops Pro is a planning and documentation platform for tactical and law enforcement teams. The Site currently describes a platform in active development; features, availability dates, and specifications described on the Site are informational, may change before release, and do not constitute a binding offer. Department licensing, pilot terms, and pricing are established in separate written agreements.
3. Professional Responsibility
The Service is a planning and record-keeping tool. It does not replace agency policy, command judgment, training, or applicable law. Tactical decisions — including any calculations or outputs used in planning — remain the sole responsibility of the users and agencies employing them. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with your department's policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
4. Accounts and Acceptable Use
- You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit and for content created under your account.
- You may not use the Service for unlawful purposes, attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data, or interfere with the Service's operation.
- Access to operational content is governed by group and operation permissions; you agree not to circumvent them.
5. Your Content
You and your agency retain ownership of the operational content you create in the Service. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit, and display that content in order to operate the Service. Data handling is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, branding, software, and content we create, is owned by Tac Ops Pro and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from it without our written permission.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers, including AWS (hosting), Google Maps services (mapping), and Formspree (form processing). Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular result will follow from its use.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tac Ops Pro and its founder shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from or related to your use of the Service.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
11. Changes
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
